Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Louille. The whole property is beautifully restored and so well equiped - never a dull moment thanks to the fantastic swimming pool, bikes and games room. We had many memorable evening meals sitting outside, enjoying the stunning views across the countryside...it really was the most tranquil setting.
Also, a big thank you for providing the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on at a holiday let abroad! It was those extra touches that made Louille such a special place and one we hope to visit again soon.

A fabulous fortnight had by all. Such a beautiful house which has been lovingly restored. It felt like home to us the moment we walked through the door. We will take home some fond memories.

We had a fantastic week at stunningly beautiful Louille. Everything that one could possibly want is there. It really felt like home with all the DVDs and games and even music in the piano stool (we had a good sing along one evening). I can honestly say that this is the best rented villa that I have ever stayed in.

I think that this is the best rental property we have ever had in France; a wonderful position and so well equiped.

We had a lovely week at Louille. We enjoyed the space and the big kitchen, the games room and the bicycles were a great success. We also appreciated the beautiful views which we hadn’t expected. The pool is lovely and so nice to have a hard cover as the two little boys, who are three and a half and 21 months, can’t swim but are all over the place. We thought that the area was lovely and the vineyards were fun. All in all a very successful week and amazing to have the whole family together Oh, the coffee machine is great!!

We and the family had a super week . After a cool day to start with, the temperature soared resulting in almost continuous use of the pool by the younger grandchildren, not to mention the frequent use of your "cricket pitch" together with their parents. The older members of our party spent considerable time acquiring the much coveted tan to display in the office upon return to chilly England! All in all a wonderful week.Claire & John, Buckinghamshire

We had a wonderful time at Louille and thought the house was so elegant; furnished with great thought and taste. The children adored the pool and spent all their time in there on most days

We were thirteen members of an extended familly, all gathered together at Louille to celebrate our mother's 60th birthday, which was the main focus of the week, she really enjoyed herself.

Louille is a very special place - a beautiful house and in such a beautiful corner of France - and I'm so glad we found it. It was a pleasure to have Caroline and her partner come and cook a delicious dinner for us mid-week too.

Louille really is a magnificent collection of buildings - wonderfully restored, with every facility. Everyone loved their stay and the open countryside and sweeping views made us feel on top of the world. It suited all ages. We have enjoyed exploring this lovely part of France.

What a fabulous time we have all enjoyed here at Louille! The house is just perfect for a special occasion (our daughter, Georgie's 30th) which we all celebrated in style.

What a magical spot - I can't think of a better place to celebrate my 30th birthday. As well as soaking in the magnificent view from the pool we fitted in lots of games which was great as we're a rather competative lot...

Dearest Castle of Heaven:
We were here for Georgie's 30th and have had a fabulous week, full of dramatic sunsets, world cup football, games, fromage, treasure hunts and a whole lot more but too much to mention. Amazing !

A lovely week was had here at Louille. Six adults and six children gathered from all over the globe to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. We took advantage of every leisure activity and can attest to the utility of the kitchen. Bastide towns were a big hit. Prayssac's Friday market made us swoon.
We left Louille with heavier bodies but lighter hearts.

After a week's hiking along the Chemin de Compostelle, full of adventure, including a brush with a difficult donkey, it was an absoloute treat to end up at Louille. The hilltop location, the wonderful pool, all the entertainment... We couldn't have wished for a better place to spend a perfect holiday.

We have had two stupendous weeks at Louille. It is a stunning place to spend a holiday.  The house and facilities work beautifully. The views are to die for and the wildlife has kept us enthralled - owls, redstarts, dear, kites in their droves.
We will be back next year.

We have had a truly wonderful week at Louille. The house was ideal for six ‘twenty five to thirty something’ couples.

In the house and grounds there are so many places for big parties to get together: the pool, games barn, reception rooms, kitchen and more. We played games, and prepared and enjoyed a diversity of culinary delights around the huge kitchen table and in the summer kitchen. We did plenty of sunbathing and splashing about in the pool. All the bedrooms that we used were en-suite and really comfortable, and there are plenty of other quiet areas if the pace gets too hectic. Didn’t go far because we were having too much fun at Louille.

Louille has welcomed us with open arms for the last two years and both our holidays have been hugely successful. The house and grounds are astonishing, beautifully renovated and perfect for large groups. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, ideal for all to gather together, with enough quiet space if you need five minutes peace.

One of the main reasons for choosing Louille a second time is that it works so well whatever the weather. Of course we were there for the sunshine and saw plenty but the games rooms, outdoor covered kitchen and the huge communal rooms in the house provide the perfect solution on any cloudy or wet days.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stays and would go again…anytime. Thank you Louille.

I cannot recommend this idyllic old French farmhouse highly enough. Set in the sleepy countryside, Louille satisfies every need: relax by the pool, find a quiet corner to read, or for the more energetic there is cycling, table tennis, snooker, croquet or the pool again! While we had no reason to leave the property, the surrounding countryside and small towns are well worth exploring. Because of the weather we were able to have most meals al fresco, celebrating my birthday outside - all day and after sunset.

Dec 2011 - Jan 2012

We feel very fortunate to have ‘found’ Louille. We did a bit of travelling in France during our three month stay in Europe and nothing compared to the countryside in this region, or to this house. At Louille we could not have asked for a better location in a really tranquil setting. The views from the house and grounds are lovely. We enjoyed walks, bike rides and outings in the car, taking advantage of the quiet roads. The markets are all very good, even in the quieter months; Montague du Quercy, Fumel and Penne d’Agenais stand out.

As Americans do, we ate out a lot and have left a list of restaurants, auberges and cafés that we enjoyed, for future guests. The local wineries are fun too.
As for the house, it has everything - rustic charm and all mod cons. Our children flew over to join us at Louille for Christmas. We exchanged gifts in the salle d’etente in front of a roaring log fire, as we listened to the village church bells ringing in the distance …magical!

We celebrated a big birthday there. It was amazing.  The shady courtyard was perfect for the birthday feast, which we catered for from the outdoor kitchen. Into the evening, with fairy lights and music, we partied on…

Our room was in the pigeonnier. On our first morning, we awoke to lovely country sounds and…when we opened the shutters…before us was tranquil, verdant farmland and beyond the rolling hills of the Lot, all bathed in sunshine.

Louille: what a spread! If this is how the French Aristocrats lived, no wonder there was a revolution!

Denstone, Staffs

Louille and its environs are a feast for the senses. Sunshine, sunflowers, vineyards and blue, blue skies.
It’s an easy distance from delightful bastide towns with bustling markets and welcoming pavement cafes. Like stepping back in time with plenty of the legendary French politesse.

Everything about the living accommodation and facilities is bang up-to-date, yet Domaine de Louille is still charmingly rustic.

I had a wonderful holiday in the most beautiful region of France.
